I believe that all people have within themself the dynamic ability for health, balance, and peace. My work is dedicated to bringing to light the power and wellness that is already inherent within the body, mind, heart, and soul - individually and collectively.
The healing arts have been my passion for over ten years as I have studied massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, energy medicine, midwifery, birthing arts, herbalism, women's health, infant health, dance, and holistic movement arts.
My interest in natural health care began in childhood when I received gentle and effective medical care from a holistic doctor who integrated chiropractic care, homeopathy, massage therapy, nutrition, and spiritual counseling in his successful practice. In high school, I worked for that doctor at his integrated health clinic and massage therapy school as an office assistant. I was later inspired to pursue the healing arts myself to promote family, community, and planetary health.
Today, I offer bodywork and birthing services for families in the Eugene, Oregon area, as well as traveling for workshops and offering consultations via the phone. As the US Director for Birth Arts International, I also travel to teach Birth Arts Doula Workshops, as well as teaching bodywork and hoopdancing workshops. I am passionate about educating people about the healing arts.
Additionally, I love writing and have published articles in Midwifery Today, Massage Australia, Alternatives, SageWomen, HipMama.com, and more. Facilitating and teaching are passions of mine as well, and I have presented on the healing arts, birth, and parenting for the Association for Pre- and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH) Congress 2005, the Richard Hugo House in Seattle, LadyFest Seattle, the HipMama Gathering, Lane County Birth Network, and more. I have also created workshops, performances, and demonstrations of Mandala HoopDance at the Midwifery Today Conference in Eugene 2007, Oregon Country Fair 2006, APPPAH Congress 2005, Burning Man 2004, Seattle Metro, and more.
My mission is to bring to light the wisdom for health that is within both individually and globally through bodywork, birthwork, and healing arts education. I look forward to co-creating health with you!
